3 Residential Garage Door Trends

As garage door professionals, it is important for us to stay on top of the latest trends, in both curb appeal and home building. The top three trends right now are: more research before buying, affordable carriage house style doors, and low maintenance options.

Research First

Whether it’s because they want to save money or make the most of their investment, more customers are choosing to research garage door options before shopping or contacting a company to help with installation. With computer models, customers can now see what several options would look like on their home before deciding which one to purchase.

Carriage House Style Doors

The carriage house design is becoming increasingly popular. But, people want to know there is something they can afford in that style. Available as steel and wooden, both insulated and non-insulated, there are options for everyone. Some people may want a non-insulated door because they don’t deal with major temperature swings with season changes. Others may insist on an insulated door to help save on energy costs.

Low Maintenance

No matter what style of door someone wants, they are looking for a new door that requires little to no maintenance after the initial installation. While every door will need a regular inspection to ensure it is a good working order, homeowners acknowledge they are busy people, and technology has improved. They want something simple, quick, and easy.

We are always working hard to stay on top of trends so we can work to serve our customers even better.
